Anna Stepniewska graduated in sociology from Bogdan Janski School in Warsaw and in cultural studies from Warsaw School of Social Psychology. The issues of cultural industries and cultural management have been her main interests. Therefore in 2005 she started her cooperation with the Pro Cultura Foundation. There she took part in international projects and research, for example: "Metropolis of Europe – Urban Cultural Life and Inter-City Cultural Interactions – for ‘Cultural Diversity’ in Europe”; “Festival Jungle, Policy Desert? – festival policy of public authorities in Europe”. She completed her master thesis entitled: „Diversity in Switzerland – methods of multiculturalism and multilingualism support” in 2007.
