Since 1998 all the film enthusiasts have a perfect tool to follow hot news on Polish films. The www.filmpolski.pl web-site publishes detailed information on Polish Cinematography. One can find there data on feature films as well as on TV serials, documentaries and animation films. In addition, users can find information about theatre performances which were shot by the TVP in the last 100 years. The portal is created in the Library and the Film Information Center of the National University of Film, Television and Theater in the name of L. Schiller in Łódź.

The web-site includes a complete list of film authors; which were made up on the base of starting and ending film credits, archive materials, detailed biograms of all people involved in the process of the film production, list of films they made, etc. Also one can find there a “Kalendarium”, the scheduler of the most important film events from all of the world from the last 100 years.

One of the most important parts of the web-site is the section entitled: “Film in the Polish press”. It includes all information about films which had appeared in the Polish magazines since 1945.

Unfortunately the web-site is not available in an English version. Hopefully it will change soon and everyone interested in Polish films will have an opportunity to acquaint with Polish Cinematography achievements.
