  European Creative Industries  

This is the first European information platform on cultural and creative industries. We gather news on cultural policies and industries from across Europe and the whole world and publish them in three languages. The portal is based on a Europe-wide authors’ network: The authors provide information on current facts and trends in their respective countries.

8/23/2007: Germany : support for video industry(Published by Catherine Daraspe)
In a meeting in Berlin on August 20th 2007 the subcommittee video of the FFA (Filmförderungsanstalt – German Federal Film Board) has decided to allocate aids amounting to approx. 1.4 million euros. Among 16 proposals deposited by programme providers the committee will support the release and promotion of 13 films on video/DVD, among which BRINKMANNS ZORN, MONDSCHEINKINDER, FOUR MINUTES, HOW TO COOK YOUR LIFE and THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY. Furthermore the committee decided to assist 14 of 15 requests concerning the renovation, reconstruction and reopening of video stores.
The next meeting of the subcommittee video will take place on November 6th 2007. The term of application for financial support is September 30th 2007.
